Homeschooling: Are We On The Right Track?
Many families like to be reassured that they are covering appropriate material according to the standards of their state or of the child’s grade level.
Others like assistance with making sure their records are kept according to the state laws. Still others would like help with one specific subject area.

Reading / Language Consult
This seems to be a primary concern among parents of children ages 5-9. Reading and Language development (which includes sentence structure, writing, spelling and phonics) varies by child. Many parents come to me with questions about how to incorporate these subject areas as painlessly as possible. It can (and should) be fun! I can show you how.

Writing Consult
This is the area in which I see the most gaps among homeschooling families. Teaching writing can be daunting and there are few straightforward, all-inclusive resources on how to do so.
In the fall of 2012 we will launch an online learning environment dedicated to helping YOU – the homeschooling adult – teach your students to write.

Out of State Homeschool Evaluations
Many states will allow a certified teacher from any state conduct a portfolio evaluation. I have evaluated students from Virginia to Florida. If you’d like more information on distance evaluations head on over here.
